My #1 for a Lasting Glow

Gone are the days of rubbing on some tanning oil and basking in the sun. I’m sure I’ve damaged my skin enough in the past from trying to get a deep tan (but really just turning bright red and then peeling). I can’t afford to take any more chances.

But I am pale AF! And I have dark hair. Also gone? The days of looking like Wednesday Addams. I’ve now been left with trying to not look like a corpse while still protecting my skin. Let me tell you, figuring out the best way to self tan for your skin type and how to maintain it…. it’s a LOT of work. But there’s a couple things I swear by.

First of all, make sure your skin is exfoliated, cleansed, and dry. But you know this. You’ve heard it a million times. I won’t bore you. But if you’d like to hear a breakdown of how I prep my skin, you can check out my Skin Detox.

I’ve tried more self tanners than I can remember, but I ALWAYS go back to This one. St. Tropez, you sexy beast. I love you. For me, their mousse is my favourite. I find it’s so easy to apply (buy the mitt!) and gives you the perfect shade. Never gets orange. I put it on before bed so it sets while I’m sleeping and I can shower before I start my day and have the perfect subtle glow.

This stuff is GOLD.

You know how whenever you spray or self tan, it always fades away on your face the fastest? Your arms still look bronzed but your face is a little pasty? ADD THIS TO YOUR MOISTURIZER!

Scoop out the dab of moisturizer you’d normally apply to your face. Add 3 drops of this booster. Mix. Apply. DONE.

It adds just a subtle tan to your skin. Gives you a nice little glow ( as promised by its name). Trust me, get this and you won’t be as pissed off when the spray tan you overpaid for is gone from your face in two days. And it keeps you from busting out a self tanner and applicator mitt every night.

TIP: Wash your hands right after applying. Self tanning streaks are embarrassing…. especially when they’re all in between your fingers.
