My Favourite Chocolate Smoothy… and YES! It’s healthy!
…..Obviously, this is a smoothie so it really can only get so complicated anyways!
This is a favourite of mine to throw together because it’s full of healthy fats and a bit of protein, is sugar free, AND fixes any chocolate/sweets cravings you might have.
Here’s what you need:
1 banana
1tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
1-2 tbsp almond butter
1 cup almond milk
honey to taste (I do about a tsp)
and lots of ice
I like to add a little hemp seed on top. Or whichever superfood you prefer. Chia, bee pollen, flax seed…. you get it.
And that’s it! It’s filling. Doesn’t require a bunch of washing and cutting fruit. And, well, it’s chocolate. Enough said.
Also, for any other moms out there, I give this to my little one when she’s been asking for ice cream or a treat of some sort. She gets what she wants but I also feel good about giving it to her 😉
