Glowy, Hydrated Skin from Head to Toe
Who is ready for summer!?
Seriously, this bipolar Atlantic weather can go away any day now. Like, please? Last week, in less than 24 hours we had warm, sunny t-shirt weather AND a snow storm. I don’t know what’s hurting the most… my soul or my skin?
I mean, yes, that dry dull weather is fading. But our bodies and skin need to adjust. And then there’s the whole cold/flu season thing and that just takes a toll on you.
I’ve been having to give my skin some EXTRA love lately. So of course, I’m going to share with you what products I have been using to get hydrated skin. Most of these are items I have restocked over and over, and some I’ve even been using for years! You may even recognize some from my Amazon shop.
Tried and true. I know you guys are going to love these!
Love your Locks
I’ll be honest… I don’t do a hair mask nearly as often as I should. But I figured I’d include what I DO use, when I actually give my hair the love and affection it deserves. Typically, I’ll go for a little coconut oil. Simply just message through your strands and let sit for at least 30 minutes. WARNING! It can be hard to get out so make sure to rinse, lather, repeat!
Recently, I’ve been using the Coco & Eve Like a Virgin hair mask and loving that! I don’t know what I love most… the way it makes my hair feel or how cute it looks in my shower. Actually, I discovered this product from receiving a sample and just loved it. Definitely encourages me to give my locks some love!
Body Love
Herbivore Botanicals Coconut Milk Bath
I love a sprinkle of this in my bath! Your skin instantly feels softer and the scent is so light.
Coconut Oil
Duh. I slather this on my skin post shower and sometimes I’ll throw even it into a body scrub, lip scrub, face mask, you name it.
Love that Face
Pixie Rose Tonic
You may have seen me talk about the Pixie Glow Tonic (amazing!) It seriously removes every last thing sitting in your skin. Well! My skin is prone to redness and, needing something with the same effect but a little more gentle on my skin, I opted for the Rose Tonic and I’m obsessed!
Clarins SOS Hydrating Mask
I always say this, but I feel like Clarins is sooooo underrated. Their products have always worked wonders for my skin. Their hydrating mask (it’s easy to spot on the shelves in a pretty blue tube), is one I’ve bought repeatedly for about 8 years now.
Oh K! Sleep Mask
This drug store mask is a game changer. It’s about $7 I believe and you get about 5 uses out of the package. (Score!) I apply it after my full skincare routine before bed and wake up with the most plump, dewy skin.
The Ordinary
Another super affordable brand! Seriously, I don’t think I’ve seen one of their products over $15. And most are under $10. But the quality is comparable to something 7x its price. I promise you! Here are the two I love love love for hydration:
Hyaluronic Acid – I apply this every morning right after I tone with the Pixie Rose Toner and mist with rose water. Hyaluronic acid quickly hydrates dry skin, helping to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Rose hip seed oil – I’ve tried many different brands of rose hip oil and honestly, loved them all. But none as much as this one. I apply this overnight before bed, AFTER, my serums and moisturizer.
Tip: always apply oils last because they are thickest. If other products are layered on top of an oil, they won’t absorb into your skin.
(While you’re shopping, also check out their caffeine eye serum)
Rosewater Mist
Love a mist! A little spritz first thing in the morning is like a first sip of coffee. I’ll use this mist after I tone. And I keep on hand at my desk and in my bag for a quick spritz throughout the day.
Coconut Oil, again.
Swap out your makeup remover for coconut oil. Or olive oil even. Using an oil (how many times can I say oil) to remove your makeup prevents tugging, removes with ease, really gets everything (no, EVERYTHING!) off the skin, aaaaand leaves your skin hydrated. Follow up with your usual cleanser (coconut oil, as good as it is for the skin, can clog your pores when used on the face. So make sure to cleanse afterwards!)
Hydrated Skin From the Inside Out
Collagen Peptides
Gotta hydrate from the inside out! I’m sure you know that collagen is great for your skin and bod! Buuuuut just incase you have anymore questions, I have an entire post on everything you need to know about collagen. I love the collagen beauty water in strawberry lemon. And add extra lemon!
What are your guys fave hydrating products!? I’m always up for trying something new!
